Our commitment

De la Paz Tur is a company committed to environmental care and sustainability, raising awareness among clients, suppliers and other stakeholders. We build mutually beneficial relationships and ensure strict compliance with all legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.

Scope

This policy applies to all of the company's operations. Our staff, suppliers and clients adhere to its objectives whenever possible within the proposed budgets.

Quality policy

We are committed to continuous improvement, periodic process review, allocating resources to meet our goals, and complying with regulations on human resources, human rights, children's rights and environmental management. We follow a strict Code of Ethics with zero tolerance for corruption, bribery, forced labour and discrimination.

How we work behind the scenes

Human resources

Our team is one of our greatest assets in delivering meaningful travel experiences. We maintain an HR policy that guarantees full legal compliance, a safe and healthy workplace, regular training (including sustainability and harassment prevention), participation in sustainability planning, and inclusion and equal opportunities in pay, promotion and professional growth.

Environmental impact

We manage environmental impact as a core part of our operations, minimising our direct footprint, actively following the reduce/reuse/recycle principles, and complying with local and national environmental legislation.

Supplier selection

We require ethical and legal conduct — particularly on labour and environmental matters —, fulfilment of agreed quality standards and a genuine commitment to environmental care. We engage suppliers on these issues and verify their adherence to all commitments.

Partner agencies

We work with partner agencies that share our quality policy. We ask receptive agencies to act in the best interests of the surrounding communities and environment, as well as our guests.

How we build each itinerary

Activities and excursions

We select providers that share our quality and sustainability management policy. Every excursion we book must respect local communities, animal welfare and the protection of the environment.

Transport

We encourage land transfers between destinations whenever possible. Unless distance or accessibility makes it unavoidable, we avoid internal flights — particularly on legs under 500–1,000 km — and ask providers to prioritise car, minibus, bus, sustainable public transport, bicycle or walking.

Accommodation

We favour accommodations that share our quality policy, considering their sustainability practices, social footprint and environmental care. We prioritise those that respect land use and local architecture. Hotels in our programs must hold the "Hoteles Más Verdes" distinction, recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

Local guides and representatives

We hire local guides, drivers and tour leaders with fair wages and safe, fair working conditions, and require the same from our suppliers. We expect them to receive ongoing training and deep knowledge of each destination's sustainability — they are the direct link between guests and the cultural and environmental context of the place.

Environmental management at destinations

We act responsibly towards the environment in every destination we operate, ensuring natural resources remain intact and educating visitors on the principles of responsible travel.
