Arrival and city visit
Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, Basilica Cathedral, Cultural Centre of the Americas, Historical Museum of the North, Basilica of San Francisco, Convento San Bernardo and ascent to Cerro San Bernardo.
Calchaqui Valleys by 4x4
Lerma Valley, El Carril, Escoipe Gorge and Cuesta del Obispo. Piedra del Molino (3,348 m), Tin-Tin straight and Los Cardones National Park. Arrival at Cachi with its colonial character.
Route 40 through the Calchaqui Valleys
Route 40 through Seclantas, Molinos and Angastaco. Las Flechas Gorge, San Carlos and Animana to Cafayate.
Wineries and Las Conchas River Gorge
Torrontes wineries and return through the Las Conchas River Gorge: the dunes, the toad, the bishop, the Devil's throat, the castles and the amphitheatre.
Back to high altitudes
Santa Rosa de Tastil (pre-Columbian city), San Antonio de los Cobres, the Salinas Grandes and descent via the Cuesta de Lipan to the village of Purmamarca, at the foot of the Seven Colours Hill.
Humahuaca Gorge
Posta de Hornillos, Tilcara with its Pucara, Huacalera and the Tropic of Capricorn, Uquia and its Arquebusier Angels, Humahuaca and the Monument to Independence. Return to Salta.
